Belgian window profiles manufacturer Deceuninck (Hooglede-Gits; www.deceuninck.com) said it has named Stefaan Haspeslagh new chief executive, effective 10 June 2024.
Haspeslagh succeeds Francis van Eeckhout, who had stepped in as interim CEO alongside his role as executive chairman following the unexpected departure of Bruno Humblet at the end of February 2024.

The new chief exec has a master’s degree in applied economics and 20 years of experience working in various industries, including at agriculture and chemical company Tessenderlo and textile machinery maker Picanol.
Van Eeckhout said the Deceuninck board has “full confidence” that Haspeslagh will be able to ensure a “robust execution” of the company’s strategy.
Following meagre financial results, the PVC profiles producer at the end of last year announced the closure of a production plant in Bogen, Germany, and a logistics centre in Hunderdorf, Germany. Altogether, 230 employees were affected by the measure.
