Purchase of Turkey's Pimas completed following antitrust approvals
Belgian plastics profile manufacturer Deceuninck (Hooglede-Gits; www.deceuninck.com) has completed its purchase of Turkish PVC windows systems producer Pimas (Gebze; www.pimas.com.tr) following approvals from the Turkish and Russian competition authorities. The transaction, which was announced in August, was scheduled for completion on 15 October 2014 – see Plasteurope.com of 28.08.2014.
Deceuninck paid about EUR 20m for an 81.23% stake in Pimas, and intends to acquire the remaining shares through a mandatory public offer.
