Plastics profile manufacturer Deceuninck (Hooglede-Gits / Belgium; www.deceuninck.com) has raised its plastics recycling capacities in Diksmuide / Belgium to 20,000 t/y following the acquisition of a recycling plant operated by Verpola (Brügge / Belgium; www.verpola.be), which is to be integrated into Deceuninck’s existing raw material production in Diksmuide. The expansion comes at a price tag of EUR 3m, and the facility is scheduled to start recycling industrial waste in Q2 2012, with old PVC window profiles set to follow by the end of next year. After shedding the plant, Verpola said it intends to focus on recycling EPS packaging waste.
