Profile manufacturer relocates seal production to its main plant / 20 jobs affected
As part of its economy measures, plastics profile manufacturer Deceuninck (Hooglede-Gits / Belgium; www.deceuninck.com) plans to shift production from its small Belgian Detajoint plant in Dottignies to its main site in Hooglede-Gits, 40 km to the south. As a result, Deceuninck will concentrate its Belgian extrusion activities at its home location. Whether all the 20 employees in Dottignies will be offered the opportunity to move is not yet clear. A spokesman said that talks with the employee representatives would begin next week, and a decision would be taken later.

The Dottignies plant operates extrusion lines for the production of TPE sealing profiles. During the "local for local" restructuring, a number of central seal production lines were relocated in the last few months to the respective European profile extrusion plants.
