New heads for Polyurethanes and Coatings, Adhesives, Specialties segments

Effective 1 September 2017, Covestro (Leverkusen / Germany; www.covestro.com) has announced changes in the management of two divisions. Markus Steilemann, chief commercial officer (CCO) and CEO designate (see Plasteurope.com of 30.05.2017), will be succeeded as head of the Polyurethanes segment by Daniel Meyer. Steilemann has been responsible for the PU division since early 2016 (see Plasteurope.com of 26.01.2016).
Michael Friede will take over as head of the Coatings, Adhesives, Specialties segment from Meyer, who has headed the division since 2011. Friede currently manages Covestro's global elastomers business from France.
