Lightweight PE cap launched for drinks sector
Coveris Rigid UK, part of US packaging giant Coveris (Chicago, Illinois; www.coveris.com), has launched a lightweight cap for the beverage sector. The 38 mm, 3 start tamper evident closure is the first non-dairy specific cap launched by the Mansfield-based supplier which claims it is the lightest of its type on the market.

The PE cap is produced using Coveris’ unique compression moulding technology which leaves no injection points to spoil the smooth lines of the product.
The new 2.3 g cap is available in all colours and can be decorated with screen print, debossing or embossing, and can also be textured. It will be offered in 3 start, 2 start, bore seal and non-bore seal for liner applications.
