Russian conglomerate acquires minority share in Poland's Azoty Tarnow

Russia’s Acron Group (Veliky Novgorod; www.acron.ru) in late July purchased 12.03% of the shares in Poland’s Zaklady Azotowe w Tarnowie-Moscicach (ZAT, Tarnow; www.azoty.tarnow.pl), making it the minority shareholder in ZAT, with a total ownership of 13.23%. Other leading shareholders include the Polish state (32.05%) and an ING pension fund (14%).

Aside from its own caprolactam and PA 6 production lines, ZAT also operates ATT Polymers (Guben / Germany; www.att-polymers.de). In addition, the company has made a tender offer to acquire 32% of the shares in Zaklady Azotowe Pulawy (Pulawy / Poland; www.zapulawy.pl).
