“These investments are a clear commitment to Austria as a production location,” said managing director Stefan Chalupnik in an interview with Plasteurope.com. Currently, Coreth exports around 50% of its output, with 80% of that volume destined for customers in Germany. The films, which can also be printed directly at the factory, are used in the beverage and timber industries, as well as in numerous other industrial sectors.
In addition to its own converting halls, Coreth operates an in-house recycling plant in Unterwaltersdorf, processing post-industrial materials for reuse in production. The company, which recently generated sales of around EUR 50 mn with 120 employees, also sources recyclates from external suppliers.
Despite challenging economic conditions, Chalupnik told Plasteurope.com that he expects slight revenue growth for the current year.
