Giorgio Quagliuolo becomes next president of Italy's plastic packaging recovery consortium
Giorgio Quagliuolo has been elected president of the Italian consortium for the collection, recycling and recovery of plastic packaging, Corepla (Milan; www.corepla.it), for the next three years. He is no stranger to the position, having been Corepla’s president from 2007-2010 and 2013-2016. He takes over from Antonello Ciotti.

Quagliuolo is the founder and president of S.i.con (Milan; www.sicon.org), a converter that manufactures around 800m PET preforms annually for the soft drinks and mineral water sector. He is also the president of Italy’s rubber and plastics industry association Federazione Gomma Plastica (Milan; www.federazionegommaplastica.it) and from 2017-2019 was president of the national packaging consortium, Conai (Milan; www.conai.org).
