The Chinese subsidiary of German machinery maker Coperion (Stuttgart; www.coperion.com) has opened its new facility in the Nanjing Jiangning district – see Plasteurope.com of 30.03.2015. The official inauguration took place this month, attended by government officials, representatives from Chinese industry associations and the media, as well as 150 customers and suppliers.

Coperion (Nanjing) Machinery had to move from its previous location in the same district following the local government’s decision to rezone the site for future R&D and commercial development.

Joanne Shen, managing director of Coperion Nanjing, said the new plant strengthens the company’s footprint in the Chinese and Asian markets. Coperion has been operating in China for 15 years with employees numbering nearly 400 today.
