Coperion Keya, new Chinese production site of the German Coperion Holding (Stuttgart; www.coperion.com) has inaugurated a new machinery manufacturing site at Nanjing. The site with 24,000 m² of production space and more than 400 employees, will have a projected annual output of over 600 machines. Coperion, which supplies compounding systems, bulk materials handling plant and components, said the Chinese base will provide the opportunity for further developing the worldwide market for the standard twin-screw extruders (STS). CEO Manfred Eiden said 40 STS machines have already been sold outside China "and this was just a year after we successfully integrated Nanjing Keya Industry, the Chinese market leader for extruders, into the Coperion group."
