Packaging group Constantia Flexibles (Vienna / Austria; www.cflex.com) is expanding the production capacity for pharmaceutical packaging at Constantia Patz in Loipersbach / Austria. A double-sided lacquering machine is being installed for foils and laminates, as well as a slitting machine for which a new ISO class 8 cleanroom will be set up. A double-digit million euro sum is being invested. The additional capacity will come onstream at the start of 2019.

Constantia Patz employs around 350 people in Loipersbach. The plant produces blister and coldform foils for pharmaceutical companies throughout the world. It already operates four certified cleanrooms for the lacquering, laminating, slitting and printing of plastic and aluminium-based products.
