COMPTEK
Expansion in fluoropolymer compounds
Comptek (Diez / Germany; www.comptek.de) recently inaugurated a further compounding line for fluoroplastics. With this increase in production capacity, the company will be able to meet the mounting demand for customised compounds of fluoroplastics, such as PVDF, EFTE, FEP and PFA, said managing director Sten Karlström. The potential output of the new production line has been increased fourfold, even for low-flowing, highly filled compounds. The new facility should ease the pressure on the present production lines and shorten changeover times. This, said Karlström, puts the company in a position to also produce larger quantities in a shorter time.
Comptek has been developing and producing innovative and customised compounds, colour concentrates and precolours from fluoropolymers and other high-performance plastics such as PEEK, PSU, PPSU, PES and PEI for more than 15 years. Fillers such as graphite, glass, mineral and carbon fibres, conductive carbon black and nano fillers as well as inorganic and organic pigments are incorporated into the compounds according to the customer's wishes.
