Polyurethane specialist Coim (Settimo Milanese / Italy; www.coimgroup.com) is investing an undisclosed sum in raising polyester polyols capacity at its main plant in Offanengo / Italy. The ground breaking for the expansion, which is due to be completed by September 2015, has already been held. The upgrade will lift Coim’s aliphatic and polyester polyols output in Offanengo by 35,000 t/y. Company CEO Lucio Siano said the decision “demonstrates Coim’s commitment to the European rigid foam insulation market.”
