Clariant Masterbatches (Muttenz / Switzerland; www.clariant.com) has developed a range of colour masterbatches specifically for use with PEEK resins. PEEK high performance polymers offer high mechanical strength and stress crack resistance, and can withstand high temperatures, but they can be difficult to colour, says Robert Wick, Clariant Masterbatches’ product manager for specialty compounding.

Formulated for use with PEEK materials, Clariant’s “Renol” colour masterbatch series includes more than a dozen standard colours, as well as custom colours. All meet the requirements of high performance applications in markets including aerospace, automotive and medical.

The company also offers specialty compounded pre-coloured PEEK materials, available in small and large quantities.
