Cincinnati Milacron Austria Ges.m.b.H. (CM, PO Box 111, A-1239 Vienna) introduces new conical twin-screw extruders. While building on the proven technology of the CMT line, the new "titan" generation of extruders features an innovative air-cooling system and advanced new gearing solutions. The "titan" extruders stand out by their compact layout concept which greatly reduces the floor space requirements. According to the company, the new CM extruders are the shortest machines for a given output capacity, the customer can buy on the market. An extremely stiff machine frame guarantees robustness and facilitates putting up. The new gears are stronger and run at a very low noise level. The most interesting innovation of the "titan" generation is the "Air Power Cooling system "apc". While easily matching the efficiency of any water cooling system, the "apc" system is maintenance-free and achieves a formidable precision of temperature control.

The "titan" machines will be available in the sizes 35 through 92 (90). Being based on the same design principles, all machine sizes exhibit the same behaviour and yield identical results from one and the same formulation in terms of product quality and properties such as colour. A pipe version (R), a pellet version (G), a sheet version (PL) and a special profile version (P) for the production of window components are available with output capacities ranging up to 1,100 kg/h (R) and 550 kg/h, respectively.
