Newly founded Cincinnati Extrusion Inc (Erlanger, Kentucky / USA), whose headquarters has been set up close to former parent company Milacron (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.milacron.com), has named Hans Matthesius as president. Matthesius was previously marketing manager of Krauss Maffei´s US subsidiary.

Milacron, once known as Cincinnati Milacron, is not likely to be particularly pleased at having its former subsidiary, a manufacturer of machinery for pipe and profile extrusion, move in next door. In 1999, it sold the European business known as Cincinnati Extrusion (A-1230 Wien; www.cet-austria.com) to plastics machinery group SMS (D-58540 Meinerzhagen).

At the time of sale, Milacron and SMS agreed not to market extrusion systems on each other´s territory. This agreement evidently has expired, and it is assumed that Milacron will now take steps to market its own machines in Europe.
