CHEVRON PHILLIPS
Engineering polymers business renamed
Chevron Phillips Chemical (Houston, Texas / USA; www.cpchem.com) is to drop the name "Ryton" for its engineering plastics business and rename this organisational unit Engineering Polymers. The polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) range of products will continue to be marketed under the Ryton name. The new Engineering Polymers unit also will include the "Xtel" PPS alloy brands. The company said the name change more accurately reflects its growing portfolio of PPS and PPS alloy products.
