Centrotec Hochleistungskunststoffe AG (D-34431 Marsberg; www.centrotec.de) will establish a joint-venture with its Asian partner JI Trading & Manufacturing PTE Ltd in Singapore and Centrotec will be holding the majority of the shares. Centrotec JI Asia Pte. Ltd. is planned to establish the 100% subsidiary Centrotec Guangzhou Pte Ltd. with headquarters in the capital of the South-Chinese province Guangdong to process the fibre composite “Tepex”, a product developed in Germany.

The Chinese facility will be producing articles such as components for sports shoes, which will be delivered to local production sites operated by international manufacturers of sports and leisure equipment. After the company has completed the shift towards more internationalism, the new focus will be on exploring sales and production opportunities in the Asian market, says Centrotec. Sales are expected to move into the one-digit million Euro region by next year.
