In mid-January 2012, nine European producers of insulation materials made of foamed plastics set up the European FEF and PEF interest Group (CEFEP) under the umbrella of the European quality assurance association for rigid foam (Güteschutzgemeinschaft Hartschaum, Celle / Germany). The group represents the vast majority of European manufacturers of elastomeric and polyethylene products for technical insulation.
Foundation members are Aeroflex (Ulm / Germany; www.aeroflex.de), Armacell (Münster / Germany; www.armacell.com), Firo (Warstein / Germany; www.firo-gmbh.com), Kaimann (Hövelhof / Germany; www.kaimann.de), L’Isolante K-flex (Roncello, Italy; www.kflex.com), the Belgian company NMC (Eynatten; www.nmc.eu), as well as Austrian Steinbacher Dämmstoffe (Erpfendorf; www.steinbacher.at), Dutch Thermaflex (Waalwijk) and Union Foam (Bellusco / Italy). Armacell's Georg Eleftheriadis was elected as the chairman.
