The new production site will be the second Italian location of CCL’s Food & Beverage division after the Canadian group acquired Swiss pouch manufacturer Pouch Partners (Baar) from the Capri Sun Group this year. Part of the deal included the film manufacturer Porta Imballaggi Flessibili with a plant in Brunello, where flexible films and film laminates are finished using rotogravure printing.
“Having a production site in close proximity to our global brand customers is part of our strategy,” said Reinhard Streit, vice-president and general manager of the Food & Beverage division.
The group, which includes individual companies CCL, Avery, Checkpoint, and Innovia, said overall turnover hit CAD 6.38 bn (EUR 4.4 bn) in 2022 versus CAD 5.73 bn in the previous year. The operating result was estimated at CAD 934 mn.
