After using the services of local agent Máquinas Espumadoras Cannon Española (MECE, Madrid / Spain; www.cannonmece.es) for the past 40 years, Italian plastics equipment and machinery manufacturer Cannon Group (Milan; www.thecannongroup.com) established its own direct presence in the Iberian Peninsula at the beginning of June. The group said the move was prompted by “the need to rationalise strategies and to approch this important market with a wider spectrum of products.”

MECE’s key personnel are to transfer to the new HispaCannon (Madrid / Spain; www.hispacannon.com), which has been tasked with distributing Cannon’s plastics processing technologies. The Italian group plans to extend the service offer in the near future.
