BUSS
World's largest cable compounding line delivered to Draka
Process technology company Buss (Pratteln / Switzerland; www.busscorp.com) said it has delivered the world’s largest cable compounding line to Kabelbedrijven Draka Nederland, part of cable specialist Draka (Amsterdam / The Netherlands; www.draka.com). The production line has a maximum throughput of 4,500-5,000 kg/hour, depending on formulation, and can process eight different PVC formulations using the same kneader screw geometry.

Buss said the line, which extends over four floors, incorporates its “quantec” 110 EV Kneader. The new facility has met all the customers’ expectations following start-up, the company added.
