Michael Hack named secretary general of bromine producers' association

The bromine producers’ association, International Bromine Council (BSEF, Brussels / Belgium; www.bsef.com) has announced the appointment of Michael Hack as the new secretary general, effective 1 October 2021 and pending regulatory filings. Hack succeeds Kevin Bradley, who held the post for the past six years, the association said.
The new secretary general has worked in public affairs and in the chemical, fast-moving consumer goods, finance, health, and circular economy sectors, the BSEF noted.
The Bromine Council is the global representative body for bromine producers and producers of bromine technologies. Originally founded in 1997, BSEF works to foster knowledge on the societal benefits of bromine and its applications. The members are Albemarle, ICL Industrial Products, Lanxess and Tosoh among others.
