Portugal's film producer Casfil invests in BOPP line
Portuguese flexible plastics films producer Casfil Indústria de Plásticos (Vila das Aves; www.casfil.pt) has appointed Brückner Maschinenbau (Siegsdorf / Germany; www.brueckner.com) as turnkey supplier for the installation of a BOPP film production line. The line will have a working width of 8.7 m, running at 525 m/minute and an output of 6,350 kg/h.

Luis Ferreira Pinto, president and owner of Casfil said that the investment was part of the company’s long-term investment strategy. “With our new BOPP project we will be able to satisfy the growing market demand in our inland and export markets,” he added.

The family-owned company manufactures BOPP, CPP, LLDPE and barrier films for a range of applications in the Portuguese packaging, industrial, agricultural and medical sector.
