MBO of Vitacom compounding business / Company renamed as E3g Group
British Vita (Middleton, Manchester, GB-Greater Manchester M24 2DB; www.britishvita.com) has sold its Vitacom rubber compounding business to a management team, headed by managing director Chris Turner. Vitacom (Clayton, Manchester, GB-Greater Manchester M11 4AS) employs 130 people and has sales of GBP 20m, of which 15% are exports. The purchase price has not been disclosed, but the business has been renamed E3g Group.

Vitacom is the largest, non-tyre vulcanised rubber compounder in the UK. It specialises in the compounding of a range of synthetic rubbers, but does not process thermoplastic elastomers, which have been supplied by Vita Thermoplastic Compounds. The current investment programme is to be maintained.
