Things seem to be rather consistent at the top management of the British Plastics Federation (BPF, London; www.bpf.co.uk). Nigel Flowers from machine manufacturer Sumitomo Demag (SHI) was recently confirmed in his position as president of the association. However, vice president Martin Hitchin, CEO of Rehau UK, was newly elected at the members’ meeting in May. Hitchin has been involved with the trade association for several years, with a diverse industry background working with windows, pipes, automotive, and recycling.
Following significant growth last year, the association of the British plastics industry now has 592 members under its umbrella.
