BOSCH
Tecsor acquisition finalised / Entering into PET blow moulding technology
Antitrust authorities have given their approval to agreements signed in June and now Bosch Packaging Technology (Waiblingen / Germany; www.boschpackaging.com) has completed the final steps in its purchase of French-based Tecsor Machines et Systèmes (Meyreuil) – see Plasteurope.com of 21.06.2013.
The acquisition expands the German's liquid foods portfolio and comlements its 2012 purchase of Bavarian inline filling machine specialist Ampack (Königsbrunn). The company said it now has the capabilities to produce its own cups and bottles for this business segment. Tecsor develops and sells machinery for making and filling PET containers for liquid and paste-like foodstuffs used in the food and beverage industry. The company generated sales of approximately EUR 2m in 2012.
Tecsor's executive management remains in place with its company founder, Olivier Bedin, serving as general manager and Jean Tristan Outreman staying on as technical director. Founded in 2005, the company will continue as an independent unit but operate as a Bosch subsidiary with its products in future marketed under the "Bosch" brand. The company's business activities have been assigned to the south-western German's liquid food business unit.
