Plans to acquire Tecsor targeting PET blow moulding technology
German supplier of process and packaging technology Bosch Packaging Technology (Waiblingen; www.boschpackaging.com) is set to acquire Tecsor Machines et Systèmes (Meyreuil / France). According to reports, the necessary agreement papers were signed on 11 June, essentially inking the deal. No financial aspects of the deal have been provided. The transaction is subject to approval by the respective antitrust authorities
The southern French company, located near Aix-en-Provence, develops and sells machinery for producing and filling PET containers used for liquid and paste-like foodstuffs. It can make and fill up to 32,000 containers per hour. Founded in 2005, the small company with 14 employees recorded revenues of approximately EUR 2m in 2012, according to a media statement from the German packaging technology company.
The acquisition of Tecsor is another sign of the German company's strategy to increase its activities in the liquid foods segment. In October 2012, they bought Bavarian inline filling machine specialist Ampack (Königsbrunn).
