Mirjam Mayer takes responsibility for Circular Economy Solutions

Mirjam Mayer has been appointed the new vice-president for Circular Economy Solutions at polyolefin producer Borealis (Vienna; www.borealisgroup.com), as of 1 January 2024. She is responsible for the entire value chain of all the group’s plans related to the circular economy.

Mayer has been working at Borealis since 2020, most recently as vice-president of Polyolefin Transformation, following various positions at consulting firm McKinsey. She studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA, and holds a doctorate in biochemistry/biophysics from the Max Planck Research School and TU Dresden.
Borealis CEO Thomas Gangl particularly praises her “strategic acumen and practice-orientated approach”.
