Majority share in South Korean compounder DYM Solution
Polyolefins and chemicals group Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) has signed an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in compounder DYM Solution (Cheonan / South Korea; http://en.dymsolution.co.kr). Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1992 and headquartered around 80 km south of Seoul, the South Korean company has three plants in Cheonan and supplies materials to the cable and wire industry. The company specialises in semi-conductive compounds, halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) materials based on PVC and EBA copolymers, as well as rubber and silane-cured compounds.
