Management buyout of Atlas Converting Equipment
Atlas Converting Equipment (Bedford / UK) has been sold by Bobst Group (Lausanne / Switzerland; www.bobstgroup.com) in a management buyout (MBO) transaction. Bobst said the divestment corresponded to an annual turnover of about CHF 50m (EUR 37.5m) and will have no material impact on future group results. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Atlas Converting Equipment’s top management will continue to run the business, chaired by Stephen Darlington. With its “Atlas” and “Titan” brands, the company supplies slitting and rewinding equipment to the film and flexible materials markets. Bobst reported revenues of CHF 560m and an operating loss of CHF 27.3m for the first half of 2010.
