BIO-FED
Iberian distribution contract signed with Plastic Agents
The German producer of biodegradable and biobased plastics Bio-Fed (Cologne; www.bio-fed.com) and the Spanish polymer distributor Plastic Agents (Valencia; www.plasticagents.com) have signed a distribution contract for the Iberian Peninsula. The compostable and biodegradable plastics market has seen significant growth in the southern European countries, in particular due to changes in legislation. After successfully concluding a contract in Italy, Bio-Fed looked for an extension of sales partnership in Spain and Portugal (see Plasteurope.com of 08.11.2016).
“We’ve now intensified our existing collaboration with Mr. Barraca by signing the distribution contract,” said Stanislaw Haftka, head of sales at Bio-Fed. This collaboration secures local warehousing in Spain, which allows short-term customer supply within the Iberian Peninsula. Bio-Fed hopes to serve the growing market of mulch films for agriculture.
Plastic Agents sells high-quality polymers, thermoplastics, fluoropolymers and additives for the chemical polymer industry. Bio-Fed is a subsidiary of Akro-Plastic (Niederzissen / Germany; www.akro-plastic.com) and a member of the Hamburg-based Feddersen Group.
