New injection moulding machine with no upper tiebars / Design facilitates operation
A new type of injection moulding machine in the “Proxima” range but with only two tiebars was shown by French machinery producer Billion SA (1, av. Victor Hugo, F-01100 Bellignat) at the recent “Fakuma 2000” exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The design of the new 50 t clamp force machine – that has the same operational profile as the usual four tiebar machine – ensures that platens remain parallel and exactly perpendicular to the machine´s axis. This allows easy access to the mould area so that bulky moulds can be mounted. All “Proxima” machines are equipped with a user-friendly control system “Dixit II”. On a tactile screen it offers machinery operators a choice between graphic and numerical representation of parameters.
