German distributor announces management changes

Starting in October, Frank Johänning assumed the role of global business director, taking over responsibility for the global management of the Performance Polymers business unit at Biesterfeld Plastic, the distribution and services division of Biesterfeld (Hamburg, Germany; www.biesterfeld.com). In the same month, Sergej Lazovic was appointed managing director of the subsidiary, where he has been running business activities alongside Peter Wilkes.

Johänning has decades of experience in the chemical industry in various management positions at well-known producers. Most recently, Johänning headed the Advanced Materials division at Mitsubishi Chemical as global director business development and successfully expanded the division internationally.

Lazovic joined the Biesterfeld group in 2016. Among his achievements, Lazovic drove the merger with Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, where he also joined as managing director alongside Wilkes in October 2021. Both continue to hold this position.
