Germany-based distributer Biesterfeld (Hamburg; www.biesterfeld.com) said it has appointed Steen Jensen general manager of its Scandinavian subsidiary, Biesterfeld Nordic. Jensen is to set to take the helm on 1 September 2021 and replace Eric Lundén, who is leaving after six years in the job.

A chemical engineer, Jensen has worked in chemical and plastics distribution for more than 20 years. Most recently, he was COO of an independent subsidiary of Scandinavian plastics distributor Lautrup Chemicals (Copenhagen / Denmark; www.lautrup.com), which was taken over by Distrupol (Chertsey / UK; www.distrupol.com) in June (see Plasteurope.com of 18.06.2021). The Scandinavian Biesterfeld subsidiary, founded in 2013, serves customers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Baltic states.
