Distribution company Biesterfeld (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld.com) and DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com) have extended their partnership. Effective December 2019, Biesterfeld Rus (Moscow / Russia) has taken over sales of DuPont’s “Zytel” (polyamide), “Minlon” (reinforced PA), “Crastin” (PBT) “Rynite” (PET), “Hytrel” (polyester elastomers), “Bexloy” (TPC) and “Delrin” (POM) in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
Biesterfeld is expecting strong growth in the CIS countries, particularly in the packaging, cable, oil, gas and transportation sectors. With the new agreement in place, customers in the region will benefit from better service and proximity, says Svetlana Dikina, general manager of Biesterfeld’s Russian branch.
