Distribution agreement for Solvay's polysulfones in Scandinavia
As of 1 January, Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com) has begun distributing the “Radel” PPSU, “Udel” PSU and “Veradel” PESU polysulfones manufactured by Solvay’s (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com) "Specialty Polymers" division in Scandinavia.
The distribution is to be handled by Biesterfeld Nordic (Malmö / Sweden) – a joint venture Biesterfeld established with Swedish, family-owned distributor Fred Holmberg (Malmö; www.holmberg.se) in early 2013 (see Plasteurope.com of 09.01.2013).
The deal extends the existing agreement between the two companies to all of continental Europe, excluding the UK.
