Joint venture with Petroplas / Emphasis on local service / Comprehensive portfolio

Biesterfeld Petroplas is the name of the new 50:50 polymer distribution joint venture of Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com) and Petroplas (Reading / UK; www.petroplas.com). The new company will offer a comprehensive portfolio of plastics to UK customers, whereby the emphasis will be on local service through technical support and logistics from regional warehouses. Biesterfeld, which already has a presence in 36 countries of continental Europe, said it had considered a number of options for entering the UK market and now believes it has found an ideal partner in Petroplas, which has supplied the industry for 20 years.
