Effective from 1 April 2015, Martin Umbach (40) is appointed managing director of German distributor Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com). He is working together with Carsten Harms who is managing director of Biesterfeld Plastic as well and member of the executive board of Biesterfeld AG.

Umbach has been employed at Biesterfeld Plastic since 2001. He worked in product management until 2007 when he became business manager of the business unit "Standard Polymers". Since then he has led the worldwide business activities of this section which currently has a turnover of EUR 200m. As managing director of Biesterfeld Plastic he will take on additional duties with an operational focus on Germany.
