German PEEK distributor accomodates shift to circular economy / Recycled plastics portfolio extended
German polyetheretherketone (PEEK) materials distributor Bieglo (Hamburg; www.bieglo.com) is broadening its portfolio of recycled polymers to support the shift towards a circular economy. Bieglo’s Canadian partner Lavergne (Montreal, Quebec; www.lavergne.ca) has been offering the recycled PET compound “Vypet” that, according to Bieglo, has proven beneficial both for the environment and for manufacturers using it.

The company’s portfolio includes virgin as well as recycled materials, available as granules or in semi-finished form. Bieglo focuses on recycled and customised PET and PP compounds for technical moulding applications. Vypet is used mostly within the automotive industry. The German company says the rPET compound outperforms virgin plastics in terms of heat-aging, di-electric and hydrolytic properties.
