Igor Klimov named executive director of Russian BOPP film producer / Sergey Komyshan with new responsibilities
Biaxplen (Nizhny Novgorod / Russia; www.biaxplen.ru), part of the basic polymer division of Russian olefins giant Sibur (Moscow; www.sibur.com), has reshuffled positions in its executive chain of command. Igor Klimov has been appointed executive director of the division while retaining his position as director for production and operations. From 2014, the manager served as director for production and operations in Sibur’s basic polymers division and prior to that headed Sibur’s Tomsk facility (Tomskneftekhim) for five years.
Sergey Komyshan, who previously held the dual positions of Biaxplen CEO and Sibur managing director as well as being a member of the Sibur managing board, will continue his career as the Sibur board member responsible for the basic polymers division. He will have additional responsibilities for capital investment and investment projects, along with sales development and marketing.
In November 2015, Biaxplen was integrated into Sibur’s basic polymers division, which produces polypropylene as a feedstock for BOPP film. The company claims to be the largest BOPP film manufacturer in Russia and one of the leading European producers. It operates five production facilities in Novokuybyshevsk, Kursk, Balakhna (Nizhny Novgorod region), Zheleznodorozhny (Moscow region) and Tomsk.
