Recyclable PP bottles for healthcare applications
— By Plasteurope.com correspondent —

US packaging group Berry Global (Evansville, Indiana; www.berryglobal.com) said it has launched a range of polypropylene bottles for healthcare applications – a high-performance and sustainable alternative to coloured PET pill bottles.

Berry noted that along with excellent functionality and product protection, its ClariPPil bottles offer a reduced carbon footprint and improved recyclability compared with a PET solution. Notably, the containers deliver up to 84% improved moisture ingress protection compared against PET, the company said.

When combined with its closures, the ClariPPil bottle has achieved a RecyClass A certification for recyclability in countries with the appropriate reclaim infrastructure in place.

The bottle is suitable for a wide variety of products including vitamins, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, beauty supplements, and over-the-counter treatments.

It is available in light and dark amber and green, with custom colours produced on demand. The sizes cover 100 cm², 120 cm², and 150 cm², with a universal 38-mm neck for compatibility with a range of standard closures, including child-resistant options, the company said.
