Introducing "BeriValve" closure / TPE dispensing valve can be bi-injected to offer better tightness
German plastic closures manufacturer Bericap (Budenheim; www.bericap.com) says it has acquired the assets and technology to manufacture “BeriValve”, a dispensing valve made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) that is bi-injected to offer better tightness. The fact that the valve is made of TPE ensures that it does not contaminate the PET recycling stream as is the case for solutions made of silicone for example.

Bericap said it offers different hardness degrees for the valve, which is used in a range of applications from ketchups to bodycare and pharmaceutical products. “BeriValve” is said to be suitable for use with viscous products, even if they contain pieces.

The German group said it offers a wide range of hinge closures to insert “BeriValve” and also offers customised closure solutions for its application. For the further expansion plans of Bericap see also Plasteurope.com of 14.02.2013.
