New sports cap for aseptic filling process

German plastics closure manufacturer Bericap (Budenheim; www.bericap.com) has launched a new three-piece sports closure, called “Push Pull Next Generation”, designed for on-the-go beverage consumption. Bericap said the cap, produced with its “DoubleSeal” safe-sealing technology, has an improved beverage flow rate of 30% and is suitable for aseptic filling of non-carbonated drinks without the use of an aluminium foil sealant.
The new caps use the 38mm-neck finish, but the company said an extension of the product line for the standard 28mm necks “PCO 1881 and PCO 1810” is planned.
