New light weight closure for bottles introduced
In an effort to meet its customers’ needs to reduce packaging weight and cost, German plastics closure producer Bericap (Budenheim; www.bericap.com) has redesigned its "SK 38/16 LC 2"-start closure. The light weight version of the 38mm closure, with a slit interbead band with vent slot design, allows for up to 15% of resin savings compared to its predecessor.
SK 38/16 LC 2 has been adopted by Coca-Cola China for its new dairy product.
