To enhance its global presence in the plastic lids and caps market, German manufacturer Bericap GmbH & Co (Kirchstr. 5, D-55257 Budenheim) is establishing "business development" companies. In the US, Bericap Americas Inc. (2400 East Commercial Blvd., Suite 324, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33308) will handle commercial affairs, in Singapore, Bericap Asia Pte. (78 A Neil Road, Singapore 088841); The US company will be managed by Malek Sabbagh, the Singapore business by S.P. Low. The German company also plans to set up a production company for Asia, based at Shanghai. Market leader for plastic closures for metals, plastics, glass and flexible packaging materials, Bericap employs 900 and had sales of DM 280m in 1996.
