As of January 15 1996, the company Jacob Berg GmbH & Co (Kirchstr. 5, D-55257 Budenheim) has changed its name to Bericap GmbH & Co. The name change is to reflect the increasingly international nature of the company's business, which has production sites in nine different countries and sales offices in more than 20. This privately-owned, family business is a market leader for plastic closures for metal, plastic, glass and flexible packaging. Group turnover in 1995 was DM 270m (an increase of 14%) with 850 employees, whilst the parent company had a DM 105m turnover and employs 225. Founded 70 years ago, the current Managing Partner is Günter Krautkrämer.
