Bemis Manufacturing (Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin / USA; www.bemismfg.com) has taken over toilet seat manufacturer Ivanićplast (Ivanić-Grad / Croatia; www.ivanicplast.hr) for an undisclosed sum. Founded in 1999, the Croatian company manufactures and sells “Bello” toilet seats made of urea-formaldehyde resins that are treated with antibacterial properties, as well as injection-moulded components with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. The Croatian firm is to be integrated into the Bemis EMEA division (www.bemisemea.com). The previous owner of Ivanićplast, Vitomir Klasić, will remain with the company working under Bemis EMEA managing director Philippe Bancken.
Bemis Manufacturing is by its own account the world’s leading manufacturer of toilet seats and produces around 3,000 toilet seat parts each day. In Europe, the company’s brands include “Bemis”, “Carrara & Matta” as well as “Dubourgel”, which it acquired in 2016. In addition, the US company has injection-moulded parts, liquid and air filters and components for medical devices and packaging.
