PU machinery producer Hennecke sold to Adcuram / Private equity firm already owns Austria's Battenfeld
Almost exactly a year after acquiring Kottingbrunn / Austria-based Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen on 17 October 2006, private equity investor Adcuram Industriekapital (Munich / Germany; www.adcuram.de) has taken over 100% of polyurethane processing equipment manufacturer Hennecke (St. Augustin / Germany; www.hennecke.com) from Bayer MaterialScience (BMS, Leverkusen / Germany; www.bayermaterialscience.com) for an undisclosed sum. In 2004, the investor acquired blow moulding machinery producer Kautex Maschinenbau (Bonn / Germany; www.kautex-group.com), but has since sold this company.
Announcing the sale plans for Hennecke in February of this year – see Plasteurope.com of 02.03.2007 –, the Bayer group company said a new owner could give the machinery manufacturer with 500 employees and sales of around EUR 80m in 2006, "improved chances for continued growth." Hennecke is active in the slab foam, refrigerating appliance, sandwich panel and moulded building components sectors. BMS said it intends to maintain a business relationship with its former subsidiary to “ensure continuity for customers.”
